Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Import/Export Analyst located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Import/Export Supervisor the Import/Export Analyst role is responsible for providing operational expertise to enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the department by establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships, liaising with operations, customers, and carriers to ensure customer satisfaction and to deliver maximum advantage to the business.

What a typical day looks like:

- Manage all imports and exports through airlines, haulers, and customs.
- May have P&L control for a department.
- Reviews contracts for required clauses and identifies omissions.
- Interfaces with internal and external customers, foreign order administration, freight forwarders, customs officers, and other functional areas to ensure coordination and logistics of shipment.
- Selects carrier/forwarder for shipment of products and prepares documents for freight forwarders.
- Make entry adjustments with U.S. Customs when necessary.
- May perform regular audits as deemed mandatory with several departments to identify, disclose, and work to fix any potential Import Compliance concerns in alignment with Trade Compliance Coordinators.
- May code international freight invoices for inbound shipments, as well as domestic truckload shipments to unipersonal departments within the site.
- May research short-paid invoices and resolve any related issues.
- May maintain and update inbound/outbound carrier routing guide for site per Corporate Logistics guidelines.
- May distribute routing guide to Purchasing, Shipping, and other departments.
- Notify departments within the site of any non-compliant issues.
- May file claims with the carrier/insurance companies per the Corporate Logistics procedure to compensate lost/damaged freight while in the carrier's care.
- May maintain claims data and interact with Corporate Logistics and insurance company/carrier to resolve claim issues/questions.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
- Intermediate English.
- Experience in a similar position or customs area.
- Advanced Excel.
- P&L Knowledge.
