**About the role:
You will participate in the project of a top player of the Automotive industry focused on the design and development of power train, engine, transmission components and systems from initial design to final product, working along cross disciplinary teams to meet the system requirements and performance specifications expected

**Main Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electromechanical, mechatronics or related engineering required.
- 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Design (Mainly in the automotive industry)
- Working Knowledge of **Powertrain/Engine/Transmission**:

- components/systems
- Experience in Product Lifecycle Management with **Teamcenter**
- Interface with cross functional team to design and develop functional solutions that achieve design requirements & to ensure proper design interfaces with other components, and all requirements are met.
- Work with other functions Design / Releasing teams to ensure consistency in requirements, standards, and practices across programs.
- Integrate system components.
- **Own and update Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA **), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR), and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) - ensure functional objectives, guidelines and corporate requirements are met.
- Perform **cost value analysis.**
- Develop timelines and drive programs to meet deliverables.
- Manage Tier I suppliers and software releases and/or hardware designs to meet program timing and deliverables.
- Interface with stakeholders at all levels including vehicle teams, HMI, validation, requirement leads, technical specialists, leadership, and develop robust functional designs.
- Present action plans with status/risks to get and keep programs on track.
- Follow, track and root cause build issues found during pre-production builds, prior to launch of the program and warranty analysis of all the components after the launch.
- Conduct Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling (Catia / NX) and template set-up & maintenance using Knowledge Based Engineering template modeling techniques.
- **Generate CAD and 2D drawing **s for components including GD&T
- Coordinate **change management **(CCD, CN, A, PER, ICD)
- Act as Point of contact for engine hardware issues
- Lead initial root cause analysis and support through closure
