Position: Data Engineer

Location: Guadalajara, México⠀⠀⠀ ⠀

Ingredion is currently recruiting for the position of Data Engineer. In this role, we are seeking a highly dedicated, enthusiastic and professional with more than 5 years of experience in creating, updating and maintaining physical, logical or conceptual data models. This individual will also lead the effort for a business Glossary to empower Self-Service Analytics and leverage technical knowledge of data modeling and data integration best practices to make data-driven decisions.

**Responsibilities **⠀
- Create and maintain data pipeline architecture for enterprise wide data - Design and assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements.
- Build infrastructure and workflows required for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from different data sources (namely SAP, Salesforce etc.)
- Lead customer conversations, creating and presenting project architecture, and support operations.
- Be able to build pilot solutions and proofs-of-concept with mínimal direction.
- Manage offshore teams and support with review of estimations, project planning and development activities to ensure it meets required timelines and expectations.
- Thorough understanding of Data Flows within Azure ADF and setup SSISIR to publish SSIS packages to Azure.
- Create, document and maintain logical and physical database models in compliance with enterprise standards and maintained corporate metadata definitions for enterprise datastores within a metadata repository.

**Qualifications**
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, SQL Azure, Table & Blob Storage.
- Strong development knowledge to build automation and configurable solutions.
- Should have experience deploying Azure artifacts using ARM templates.
- Ability to write complex SQL queries, TSQL knowledge, DML/DDL, triggers, CTE's, query tuning, etc.
- Prior knowledge of designing complex SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and familiarity with script tasks, checkpoints, recordset objects, package vs. project deployment.
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to lead a team of about 3 to 5 resources and prior experience managing a remote team would be a plus.
- Strong understanding of parallel processing utilizing Azure SQL Data Warehousing for both structured and unstructured data sources.
- Prior experience on SAP would be a plus.
