Responsible to track all inbound freight coming from assigned vendors and coordinate with Material Planning & Transportation Operations to ensure there are no production disruptions, Identification possible critical part numbers or sequenced commodities that would impact in short term the production efficiency because vendor past due, material adjusted or damage in plant. Establishes emergency plans in case of vendor does have a recovery plan for stock replenishment, analyzes second source as Tier2, material transfer from other DTNA locations or aftermarket options, Identifies and selects most appropriate and cost-effective transportation and tracks the transit of the critical material. Analyzes operations practices to determine process and cost improvement opportunities to prevent excess of material and avoid obsolete part numbers.
