**Tactical Buyer Sr** Cuernavaca, Morelos (Hybrid) **Position Summary** Thales is looking for a Sr Tactical Buyer who is involved in the transactional procurement process of PR/PO (Procurement Requisition/Procurement Order). Also responsible for transforming a PR into a PO using the different elements coming from category buyers, in a time frame (SLA) and to follow up the PO. The Tactical Buyer may periodically be required to expedite and follow-up on Procurement orders to ensure specific timing and quality requirements are met, including post award responsibility for supplier deliveries. In addition, the Tactical Buyer will support the category team in quote preparation, data analytics, quotes summaries, discrepant supplier inputs, and other tasks related to the sourcing process. **Key Areas of Responsibility** - Responsible to manage Procurement Purchase Contracts with the key suppliers assigned - Receiving procurement requests and verifying their conformity to operating methods. - Transforming Purchase Requisitions (PRs) into Purchase Orders (POs). - Responsible to review and ensure accuracy of the PO including but not limited to: ship-to location, supplier information, and relevant notes/comments. - Ensuring supplier acknowledgement of Purchase Order receipt and delivery commitment. - Managing purchase order cancellation, rescheduling or PO information changes (quantity, price, and requirements). - Manage local negotiations within the (DOA) Delegation of Authority thresholds and in alignment with Regional Procurement Category Managers and Buyers. - RFQ management within the DOA thresholds. - Involve the segment team (CBs/CMs) and/or PPM as needed. - Report on procurement projects status. - Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis. - Be accountable for compliance with Thales procurement policy and with the "Manage Acquisition" process of Chorus 2.0. - Report on individual and Team KPIs - Participate and/or Lead Supplier reviews (Weekly Delivery reviews, Performance improvement and Supplier Program Reviews. **Minimum Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or business - 4+ years of experience in similar role - Experienced in Oracle E-Business Suite or equivalent ERP systems is desirable - Ability to lead negotiations. - Expertise in analyze Commercial Contracts. - Ability to make commitments and deliver on such - Ability to work individually and as part of a team & cross-functional team. - Capability to manage by influence and to convince - Advanced (Conversational) English level If you’re excited about working with Thales, but not meeting the requirements for this position, we encourage you to join our Talent Community **What We Offer** - Thales provides an extensive benefits program for all full-time employees and their eligible dependents, including the following: - Elective Health and Dental plans. - Company paid holidays, vacation days, and paid sick leave. - Company provided Life Insurance. **Why Join Us?** Say HI and learn more about working at Thales _click here_._ LI-Hybrid LI-EB1
