**Job Description Summary**: In this role you will be responsible for ensuring quality deliverables, fostering continuous improvement, and achieving business goals like Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets. The role involves global collaboration, technical contributions to engineering activities, and cross-functional teamwork. Required qualifications include experience in safety-critical embedded software development, Agile leadership, and strong communication skills in English and Spanish. Desired traits include proficiency in multicore environments, real-time operating systems, scripting, and knowledge of DO-178 and AS9100 standards.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Uses judgment to make decisions through Problem Solving techniques or solve complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
- Major Team Management: Collaborate on the team's vision and strategy definitions and execution.
- Leads and monitors team progress through Daily and Visual Management, leads his team on the Bid and Proposal processes.
- Plan, manage and optimize team's resources. Execute the planning, financial, resource development, technics and compliance sessions.
- Achieve the goals established by the business, such as OTD FTY, budgets, growth, etc.
- Technical Contribution: Lead the execution and assess of Engineering Activities to meet project needs.
- Quality: Ensure that Quality of Deliverables, Quality Management Systems, Continues Improvement and General and measurement of Quality objectives are met.
- Global interaction with cross functional teams, to be able to collaborate in areas related to his/her work and to assure the requirements of the technology/process that he/she is responsible for the implementation of compliance plan and activities.
- Collaborate with other GE Aerospace-Avionics Managers on strategy definition, resource sharing, and workload management
**Required Qualifications**
- Demonstrated experience leading Embedded Software and/or High Level Application Development teams in an Agile environment.
- Communication skills: Excellent written, oral and listening comprehension abilities both in Spanish and in English. Must be able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluid conversation. Must have fluency and rhythm and sufficient self-confidence in the English to be able to handle meetings and conversations.
- Demonstrated solid technical skills and experience in Embedded Software development Projects across full life cycle
- Proven experience in successfully leading Experienced/Lead Professional employees
- Point of contact between counterparts and GE Aerospace local site
- Experience coordinating relevant projects with higher autonomy/ownership
- Working experience on Model Based Development techniques
- Deep understanding on SW Verification Concepts
- Bachelor's degree.
