Fjällräven now has an opportunity for an entrepreneurial person who loves and respects nature to join our team as our Country Manager for Mexico As a Mexico Country Manager, your main responsibility is to drive the sales and strategic success of the Fjällräven brand we distribute through resellers in Mexico. You will be responsible for brand management and leading sales, including upcoming collections, engagement with marketing, and products. In addition, this role will engage with the Head of Latin America (LATAM) and the Global Marketing Manager to create marketing plans and participate in exciting events like trade shows, kick-offs, training, etc., nationally and internationally.
This position is based remotely in Mexico (Mexico City preferred).
You will report directly to the Head of LATAM.
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
On any given day you might:
- Manage and monitor sales strategy and performance through forecasting, purchasing, pricing structure, budgeting, and reporting
- Be responsible for the monthly, quarterly, financial, and strategic reporting and planning, reporting to and collaborating with the Head of LATAM
- Strategically plan and position the Fjällräven brand in Mexico based on brand guidelines
- Manage activities like cost and pricing for the territory, managing costs and margins, and budgeting and forecasting sales along with the Head of LATAM
- Continue developing business relationships and leveraging specific customer strategies to increase market share and revenue in the country
- Fully understand the key clients’ needs and business plans to align with business strategy
- Work closely with the Sales and Account Services teams to facilitate key account sales, including products, accounts, terms, and agreement negotiation
- Participate in and manage kick-off events, management meetings, board meetings, and other mandatory events
- Lead training and clinics for clients’ staff regarding topics like the Fenix Way, the History of Fjällräven, Fenix company presentations, product clinics, etc.
- Analyze competitive market trends and insights to inform and adjust strategies
- Be an active and strategic partner for marketing planning
**WHO YOU ARE**
- Requirements:_
- You have at least three years experience in managing, strategic sales, and/or brand management
- The entrepreneurial spirit is in your DNA, and you would describe yourself as a strategic thinker focused on business development
- You have strong knowledge of local market trends and regulations in Mexico
- You communicate effectively and professionally in both Spanish and English
- You have a love and respect for nature and the outdoors
- You are willing and able to travel within Mexico as needed
- Preferred, but not required:_
- Experience in the outdoor or sporting goods industries is strongly preferred
