This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment.

**Summary**:
Aptiv is seeking a Systems Team Lead - Customer Engineering for its Advanced Safety and User Experience products. You will be building and working with a team of highly motivated individuals that work on various automotive technologies to enhance driver experience, prevent accidents, and save lives.

In this role, you will lead a team of Customer Facing specialists, who are responsible to manage different aspects of ASPICE support processes: SUP.8 Configuration Management, SUP.9 Problem Resolution Management, SUP.10 Change Request Management, SPL.2 Product Release.

You will identify the key skills required for each of the roles and level needed within your team. You will ensure that the skill gaps are immediately addressed through formal and on-the-job training, internal transfers, or external hiring.

**Responsibilities**:
Seek and hire best in class, motivated, and engaged employees that display behavioral traits aligned with company and competency values and goals
- Coach your team as a process expert to ensure all ASPICE support processes are executed in the proper way for all assigned programs
- Establish an onboarding process that is structured, consistent, and adjustable to the skillset and experience of the new hire
- Manage people performance and provide coaching / mentoring guidance as needed
- Ensure development opportunities are defined and available for all team members
- Participate in talent review sessions
- Acknowledge team success; reward and promote team members based on contributions
- Provide input to staffing planning to support new contracts and organizational adjustments
- Manage the engineering team to ensure that proper planning and execution plans are in place meet program requirements.
- Stay connected with team members to maintain deep understanding and progress of work
- Remove impediments that are blocking team performance
- Drive excellence by fostering the culture of pursuing perfection

- **Must Haves (Basic Qualifications)**:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, systems, or related field of study)
- Engineering background in Embedded Systems or Software Engineering
- 5+ years professional experience in Automotive Industry
- 1+ years management/leadership experience
- Strong ASPICE knowledge
- Deep understanding of ASPICE support processes: SUP.8 Configuration Management, SUP.9 Problem Resolution Management, SUP.10 Change Request Management, SPL.2 Product Release
- Bi-lingual - proficient in English speaking/reading/writing
- Interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challenge
- Cross functional interests, ambitious and self-driven. Adaptive, comfortable with ambiguity
- Ability to effectively manage several projects at once
- Strong soft skills: skilled networking creation, influencing skills, constantly learning, positive and ownership profile

**Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications)**:

- Master’s degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, systems, or related field of study)
