SAP Cloud Infrastructure Services is the trusted technology partner to support SAP´s business transformation to THE Cloud Company. We strive to provide best-in-class IT Infrastructure Services from data centers to workplace for SAP to increase productivity of SAP employees and act as a showcase.

The Infrastructure Operations organization (GCS) within SAP Cloud Infrastructure Services is the core of SAP’s cloud success by providing cloud infrastructure and operations support for several cloud-based IT services SAP is delivering on a global scale. To run these highly scalable and secure cloud infrastructures 7x24 we leverage technologies from VMware, OpenStack, Cisco, Lenovo, HPE, Dell, and others to support various operating systems and associated management tools/processes on top.

For our Cloud Platform Delivery team within our global CIS IO unit we are looking for new team members who are understanding automation is key to success in large scale cloud operations, want to be part of a fast-paced DevOps setup and are eager to join us shaping the way SAP delivers best-in-class cloud infrastructure operations with a clear focus on automation to be competitive with the market.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Coordinate and prioritize tasks and closely interact with the team members and management.
- Configuration and administration of hypervisors and cloud platform infrastructure for the various SAP cloud platforms
- Optimize, automate and standardize the operational delivery processes
- Troubleshoot across the technology stack - expert level issue resolution
- Basic understanding of the architecture of SAP’s Converged Cloud platform (VMware Hypervisor, CISCO UCS, F5 Load Balancer, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Container technologies, BIND DNS, Ansible automation engine, Python programming language, Concourse pipeline etc.) and deliver 3rd Level expert cloud operations support
- Change, Incident, Problem and Escalation management
**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**

**Required skills**

University degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering

Experience with Ansible automation engine, Python programming language and Concourse pipeline

Experience working in large-scale datacenter/cloud/network environments and related technologies

Preferred skills
- Knowledge in server hypervisors and operating systems (focus on VMware vSphere)
- Knowledge in Inventory Management Systems like NetBox is a plus
- Experience with infrastructure automation initiatives across infrastructure stacks

(compute, network, storage)
Excellent communication and presentation skills

**WORK EXPERIENCE**

5 years professional experience, out of which minimum 3 years in similar position covering enterprise datacenter server hardware administration in a large scale infrastructure setup in a functional team lead role.
