**Full job description**

**Summary**: Responsible for obtaining indirect material cost reductions through the identification of opportunities for improvement in purchasing, competitive quotations, negotiations with suppliers and other cost reduction tools, as part of the company's material cost improvement process (EMCIP).

**Education**:

- Business Administration, Global Supply Management or Engineering
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)

**Experience Required**:

- Indirect Material Buying
- Competitive Quoting
- Negotiation with supplier senior leadership
- Cost analysis and understanding of material cost drivers
- Reduction of the supplier base
- Organization and conducting cost-reduction workshops
- Understanding of purchasing tools and practices (eRfx, ERP)
- Proficient in MS-Office skills - especially Excel

**Essential Functions**:

- Identification of cost reduction opportunities through the study of historical consumption and projected consumption of the material
- Interaction with the different functional areas (Engineering, Supply Management, Manufacturing, and Others) to understand the needs of the business and ensure these requirements are reflected in the negotiated contracts
- Development of win/win relationships with suppliers that allow ECI to achieve the objectives identified in the business plan

**Key Activities**:

- Indirect Material Expense Analytics
- Classification of expenses by category
- Development of cost reduction plans and tactics in line with the category strategy
- Execution of quotes and negotiations according to the strategy
- Implementation of long-term contracts that generate price reductions year after year
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve working capital improvement targets
- Assist operational buyers in resolving problems with suppliers
