Under the general direction of the North America Trade Compliance Supervisor the North America Sr. Trade Compliance Analyst will support day to day trade compliance operations and other required initiatives to ensure regional compliance and the timely and economic importation of goods.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversees the day to day operations of customs brokers, imports, exports and security programs
- Coordinate with functional partners including Finance, Health & Safety, Tax, IT, Procurement and Sales to resolve and/or improve trade activities
- Ensure company importations are compliant with CBP import regulations such as HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) classification, valuation, country of origin, assists, recordkeeping, ADD/CVD, special trade programs and other participating government agency requirements
- Prepare and oversee free trade agreement certificates
- Perform pre-entry reviews and post-entry audits for import shipments
- Manage import HTS database and export Schedule B database
- Accountable for researching and determining the appropriate HTS code for components, raw materials and finished goods
- Work closely and build a relationship with the designated Customs Brokers to coordinate timely and compliant flow of shipments
- Assist all Stoneridge personnel on customs related inquiries including, but not limited to, duty rates, VAT, HTS codes and Free Trade Agreements (FTA) all while being compliant with all customs regulations and requirements
- Participate in continual improvement processes and management of recordkeeping of internal documentation and procedures
- Assist with the development, maintenance and deployment of policies and procedures to ensure compliance

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field or 5+ years experience
- Knowledge of US Customs laws, Incoterms and Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification, US Customs regulations, understanding of the GRI’s, Section and Chapter Notes, Explanatory Notes and CROSS rulings
- Strong documentation skills and keen attention to detail
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects in a high pressure environment
- Ability to work independently
