OCI Enterprise Engineering is seeking a motivated Senior Manager that thrives in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving technology environment. You will build, lead and develop a team of Software Developers and Systems Analysts responsible for the suite of Corporate Network management software.
You will maintain trusted relationships with Corporate Network service teams to deliver software for service delivery and transformation. Services include Internet edge, WAN, wired/wireless LAN, VPN, etc. As owner of the network management software, you will lead roadmap planning and the design and development of new tools and enhancements. Automation with Infrastructure as Code is integral to run network services on (or connected to) the Oracle Cloud.
You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of software engineering for the Oracle Corporate Network. The team you work in will have diverse expertise in systems, networking, and software development. Your team will deliver the solutions that directly contribute to service functionality, performance, availability, and modernization.
Career Level - M3
**Responsibilities**:
- Hire, manage, and develop a productive and reliable team of developers/analysts with varied levels and diverse backgrounds
- Accountable for multiple C.O.T.S. and in-house software tools providing network visibility, configuration, capacity management, and automation for all corporate network services
- Represent the team at Operational and Delivery meetings reporting status and solutions to organization leaders
- Continually create and improve software features, relentlessly driving management efficiencies for associated engineering teams
- Maintain system health and on-time delivery of all compliance requirements - from vulnerability remediation to audit tasks
- Ensure team activities support Corporate Network service commitments, handling expedited needs from Service Owners and Operational managers
Experience and education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree or equivalent experience relevant to software development and/or networking
- Four+ years of people management experience including goal setting
- Four+ years experience as a technical lead in the IT infrastructure area
- Experienced with IT infrastructure monitoring, configuration tools, and code - e.g. SNMP, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Python
- Adept with software design and DevOps practices - project management, CI/CD, observability, and continuous feedback, etc.
- Familiar with global service management and compliance standards - e.g. ITIL
- Interfaced with internal or external customers showing ability to understand needs and find solutions
- Global communicator adept at navigating languages, time zones, and cultures
- Coached or mentored software developer and/or network engineer performance, career progression
- Experience with Oracle software including Autonomous Database and APEX is helpful, but not required
