Descripción y detalle de las actividades
- Buy components/product in a timely manner and creatively to defined suppliers in support of MRP/ Shortage Report & company tools available to meet customer delivery expectations. - Manages orders for delivery performance and takes all actions necessary to support production. - Confers with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action. - Evaluates and monitors service performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes and inform Sourcing Manager if changes are needed. Follows departmental processes/procedures to ensure consistency. - Shares best practices with other buyers. Monitors ECN and all changes affecting supply and demand. Multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines with the use of logic and reasoning to offer solutions to problems. - May be asked to perform other duties at a lower level or higher level of proficiency or not related to this classification on occasion.

Experiência y requisitos

Education/Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Accounting - High school diploma Experience - 2 years of experience as a Buyer or equivalent - MRP, VMI, Kanban, JIT - ERP knowledge Qualifications - Multi-task - Hand On - Self-motivated
