**What you will do?**

The Contract Design and Drafting Manager is responsible for leading a contract design and drafting team [CE], which delivers custom design capabilities for a wide range of Chiller Solutions products. This role is key to the market share growth and margin enhancement for the Applied Equipment Business. This role is responsible to lead Contract Designers and Drafters in the design execution to deliver required features committed to JCI customers using the global product platforms. Additionally, the CE modifications must continue to deliver safety, reliability, quality, performance, and cost aligned with JCI standards and commitment to the customer. The primary customers include Contract Eng. and manufacturing teams executing orders with CE designs and Applications Engineering [AE] teams focused on defining customer solutions. Communication and integration with Contract Engineering and Chiller Solutions product team activities is required to track new product development and acquire / retain knowledge of all assigned products, both current and past, that are still in their life cycle. Pre-sales support for Applications Engineering team includes proposing or validating customer related solutions for identified needs, while ensuring the proposed solutions are manufacturable within the related factory environment. **How you will do it?**
- Lead team in delivering accurate on timely contract design and drafting contract engineering design output supporting the customer documentation needs. Provide or obtain required design review and approvals as needed.Assure all the contract engineering design information are deliver accurate on time for Customer.
- Ensure Keep all deliverable metrics are effective in measuring performance and working to deliver to agreed schedule on track onfor all design the stages of the design using the established tools and processes.
- Assist and counsel Contract EngineersDesigners and drafters in resolving equipment/job/code challenges.
- Manage time and resources to ensure all Customer expectationscommitments are metexecuted.
- Create and deliver parts of training programs, as needed, for the growth and development of. These can include both training classes to support specific training needs of Contract design and drafting Engineers and related functions.
- Guide and support the efforts of designers and drafters to deliver timely and reliable design information for the manufacture of products.
- Daily interaction with contract engineers who provide guidance on the special options of as
