Job Description
**As a Planner-Buyer for the Global Material Remanufacturing Team, you will be**:
Responsible for the mangement and maintenance of the planning/buying processes for PLS Inventory for Mexico. This includes supporting the proper inventory levels to provide a minimum of 95% on time delivery performance to our customers while at the same time provide plans for inventory reduction initiatives to achieve business goals.

**Other key responsibilities include**:

- Responsible for the management of the purchasing function for rotable stock.
- Responsible for safety stock planning related to service contracts.
- Support and management of remanufactured equipment transactions (the creation and follow-up of intercompany repair & exchange orders with supporting teams)
- Provides analytics and insights for to achieve inventory control goals and drive standard replenishment practices.
- SAP Master Data support and maintenance for service materials.
- Performs quarterly reviews of Excess and Obsolete inventory and coordinate disposition with the designated locations.
- Performs quarterly reviews of Available Service Codes for potential changes/actions.
- Maintains data and creates metrics related to department goals and objectives such as turn-around time and on time delivery.
- Improves systems and processes by studying current practices, designing modifications in partnership with stakeholders
- Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures in partnership with stakeholders
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
- Provides consultation to our business or enterprise shared services teams.
- Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws.
**Basic Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in materials management, business administration or related area
- Typically, a minimum of 3-5 years of inventory control in a commercial environment including planning, purchasing and materials management
- Must exhibit excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (English)
**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in working within SAP for planning, purchasing, data management, and repair/exchange transactions
- Expertise in MS Excel for data manipulation, problem-solving and analytical skills (ability to distill information from disparate data sources and the capability to tell the “story” behind it, as well as recommendations for next steps
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements
Strong team orientation and ability to collaborate cross various functions
- A customer focus mindset
- Maintain a positive demeanor during periods of uncertainty, conflict, and stress
- Open mindset and willingness to learn and promote new philosophies to impact culture and organizational transformation initiatives

- APICS Certification is a plus.
