Job Description
**Job Summary**: The Import/Export Analyst will be responsible for the maintenance of import/export compliance data based on U.S. Customs and local country specific laws and regulations in accordance with Rockwell Automation policies and procedures. This position will handle day to day transactional tasks as well as department projects as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Functional: Possess expertise in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule on a global level in accordance with U.S. Customs laws, local country laws and WCO rules and regulations. Must have a clear understanding of the U.S. Export Administration Regulations and the Commerce Control List as well as local country export control laws. Working knowledge of global Free Trade Agreements and how to determine eligibility. Determine Harmonized Tariff Codes, US ECCN, & COO for Rockwell Automation products and third party capital equipment. Read and interpret Bills of Material, engineering drawings and other technical data. Ensure that proper documentation and Certificates of Origin are collected and filed per company procedures. Solicit vendors and suppliers for Certificates of Origin on all purchased parts. Monitor inbound and outbound shipments for missing classification data. Release orders that are on hold. Participate in general process improvement discussions within the CGT team Ensure that work is complete and within specified time and quality parameters. Leadership: The import/export analyst will look for solutions to conflicts that may arise between Rockwell Automation business units and compliance with policy and procedure as well as Customs Laws and regulations. Provide support and guidance to Rockwell Automation business units and subsidiaries on import/export classification related issues Interpersonal The import/export analyst will assist the US Classification team in developing and implementing business processes and procedures that comply with the Rockwell Automation corporate global policies. Interact and collaborate with all compliance functions at Rockwell Automation (Global Trade Compliance, US Import Compliance, US Export Operations, and Regional Compliance/Logistics contacts). Business Ensures compliance with Rockwell Automation global policies and procedures. Drives continuous results for monthly metrics. Achieves goals and objectives in line with Rockwell Automation Strategic Framework.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor Degree (B.A.) in and of the following areas: Business ManagementInternational BusinessOperationsLogistics EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: At least two to five years of proven International Export/Import Compliance experience. This would include classification of products, reviewing and issuing NAFTA/Certificates of origin, working directly with US and foreign Customs agencies, Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders. Must have strong interpersonal skills, good written and verbal command of the English language, organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of Office 365, Outlook, & SAP is preferred. Bachelors Degree in Customs, Logistics & International Trade or International BusinessAt least 1 yr experience in Customs Area in maquiladora background preferableBilingual English-Spanish 80%Good Computer Skills
