**The Role**:
The Civil Designer, under guidance from Senior Engineers, will direct and review all aspects of Civil Design for heavy earthworks including:
- Preparation of design drawings
- Preparation of technical specifications and bid packages
- Completion of geotechnical and/or civil engineering analyses and calculations
- Construction oversight
- Coordination of technical work with others technical disciplines and groups
- Preparation of technical reports
- Preparation of detailed proposals and schedules
- Planning and participation in mine site visits
**Required**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated capability to work cooperatively within multidisciplinary teams
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
**Work Environment**:
You will be working in Knight Piesold’s office in the Polanco district of Mexico City with a small team of local and expatriate engineers. Position has potential for travel to various Mexican and Central American mining projects and involves frequent interaction with other offices throughout the world.
