Overview:
THE ROLE:
The Senior Analyst, Cost Accounting will support North America and SAMCAM cost of sales and inventory accounting reporting to the Supervisor, Cost Accounting. The role will also be involved in periodic management reporting, ad-hoc cost management, and inventory projects.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
- Perform monthly journal entries and other month-end activities for cost accounting close.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly explanations for significant BS and PL fluctuations.
- Manage inventory costing analysis and necessary cost updates.
- Maintain relationship with operations teams to discuss key cost and inventory-related business activities.
- Support requests from Internal & External Auditors.
- Develop ad hoc reporting to enhance cost accounting function.
WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM:

- Flexibility to streamline processes and increase breadth of reporting.

Job Qualifications:
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- General/Cost accounting skills and experience, in conjunction with good analytical skills.
- Intermediate written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Team player and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, attentive to details, and ability to properly prioritize.
- A minimum of 5 years accounting experience.
- A minimum of 2 years inventory/cost experience desirable.
- Experience in large multi-national corporation is desirable.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Certified Public Accountant degree or equivalent degree preferred
