We are seeking a **Lead Data Software Engineer** to join our team.

In this role, you will focus on creating software for data processing jobs and pipelines, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data to internal and external partners. **Responsibilities**
- Fix, change or enhance configuration behaviors for data processing jobs
- Maintain Spark job functionalities by identifying and addressing bugs
- Update upstream data sets and modify schemas as required
- Implement minor changes in source code using various Spark APIs with Scala
- Collaborate with the team to uphold highest code quality standards
- Write and execute tests for data pipelines to optimize data consumption
- Provide clear documentation and maintain effective communication with clients

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of professional experience in Data Software Engineering
- 1+ years of prior experience in a leadership role
- Advanced proficiency in Scala version 2.12
- Competency in Apache Spark versions 3.2 and 3.4
- Basic to intermediate understanding of HDFS
- Basic proficiency in Apache Airflow for modifying data pipeline workflows
- Knowledge of Git for version control tasks
- Intermediate English language proficiency

**Nice to have**
- Familiarity with Hive Metastore (HMS) table structures
- Foundational understanding of Jenkins deployment and workflows
- Background in Github or other version control systems
