**Your Role**:
As a Senior Server Administrator you will be part of Decentral Systems Team responsible for the installation, operation, regular maintenance and documentation of our local server and storage infrastructure in the KION Group IT. You will take the responsibility for production-related systems (mostly Windows, Linux) around the globe used on premises, having a significant contribution to the IT Services delivered by KION Group IT.

**Your Responsibility**:

- Responsible for the selection, technical support, further development and operation of our servers and infrastructure environment (on prem) based on KION standards.
- Installation, operation, maintenance and documentation of server systems based on x86 hardware.
- Troubleshooting and performance analyzes of servers and storage systems.
- Regular patching, monitoring and implementation of automation processes.
- Organizing maintenance work internally or where necessary with external software vendors and customers.
- Automating tools
- Planning, execution and implementation of projects in the field of server and storage infrastructure including coordination of technical service providers.
- Maintaining and developing our global backup solution (Commvault / Veeam)

**Your Skills and Expertise**:

- Very good experience in working with server
- and storage infrastructure based on infrastructure from well-known manufacturers like Dell, Lenovo, HPE etc.
- Very good knowledge of hypervisor technologies like vmware and Nutanix.
- Very good operating system skills (Windows, Redhat Linux, Ubuntu would be a big plus)
- Knowledge of backup tools (Veeam, Commvault would be a plus)
- Experience with global enterprise environments (on-prem).
- Knowledge of technical documentation procedures.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects at the same time.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a global team.
- Fluent English, German would be a plus.
- Willingness to travel
