This team is responsible to deliver simulation solutions mainly to our Oil & Gas industry customers, but also to users in metal and mining and power industries. The engineer will work as part of larger project teams and complete assignments to deliver the final solution to meet the needs of the customer. This work will include design documentation, implementation, testing, customer training and site commissioning. **Responsibilities**: The Services Engineer is responsible and participates in aspects of the design and implementation of operator training simulators (OTS) as part of the Simulation & Learning team. These projects typically involve the design, development/configuration, acceptance testing and site deployment of detailed process simulation models coupled with controls (DCS, SIS/ESD, PLC) software solutions utilizing a state of the art dynamic process modeling development environment.- Application engineering knowledge is required to modeling using our rigorous and state of art dynamic simulator. Prior experience to design and modelling using dynamic simulator- To assist or produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements- Problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment- - Work with team to interface with Customer or Technical leads- Provides regular updates to Technical Lead, Project Manager, Supervisor on project status.**Requirements**: - 5+ years of experience as Chemical engineer in Refining, Petrochemical or Oil & Gas.- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering- Dynamic/steady state process simulation experience.- DCS, SIS/ESD, PLC knowledge for a variety of solution vendors is an important asset.- Excellent communications and presentation skills- Excellent computer skills.- Process simulation knowledge and experience.- Ability to read and interpret process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams.- Planning, problem solving, customer relationships, teamwork, quality assurance, interpersonal communications.- English level required: Intermediate-Advanced Desired: - Simulation experience in other industries, and upstream production process knowledge is a plus.- Hands-on experience with Simsci software products including DYNSIM, SCP270, TRISIM Plus, PRO/II would be a plus.
