**The Role**:
**The Finance Advisor for Mexico is part of the local commercial finance team that provides advice to the Mexico’s Downstream businesses including Mobility, Trading & Supply, Aviation and Commercial Fleet. The role is accountable to deliver the financial and operational objectives in close partnership with Business Management and stakeholders across all Business areas.**:

**Drive Business Performance**:
**Support key Downstream businesses in country.**Work directly with the business as a Partner, representing the totality of Finance to provide focus on the key drivers of success while managing financial and other exposures.**Liaise between many different commercial teams, marketing, other finance disciplines and functions on all matters pertaining to the business, sound decision making, effective control framework/risk management, process optimization and optimal profitability.**Work with R&A on a continuously strong performance management framework, with targets underpinned by a strong understanding of external market dynamics and developed with an investor outlook.**:
**Strategic Growth Delivery**:
**Diagnose and co-create business value opportunities to help drive performance now and in the future.**Provide high-quality strategic and deal making advice into new strategic opportunities.**Ensure finance risks are integrated into the full value and risk discussion and provide objectivity and transparency to commercial decision making.**Support of execution of realized opportunities to deliver as promised**:

**Dimensions**:
**Direct support for Mexico IPU7 businesses through 220 Retail stations. Oversight of commercial contracting for wide spectrum of delivery channels including Company Owned Sites, Dealers and Joint Venture. **Direct support for Supply and Distribution including terminal performance and supply agreements which are becoming increasingly important to increase supply flexibility. The Retail business growth agenda is underpinned by maintaining and growing this base business in an increasingly competitive and complex market landscape. This role is in a unique position to support this integrated value chain from T&S to our Retail, Fleet and Aviation customers when available**:Translated Company Description

**Skills and requirements**:
**Very strong finance skills and expertise to understand the end-to-end implications of business activities from multiple lenses such as financial, accounting, taxation treasury and risks perspectives. **Ability to effectively leverage a matrix organization (Finance Operations /Controlling / Business) and manage the pool of finance advisors.** **Problem solving mindset with the courage to ensure professional financial rigor is applied to commercial decision-making process and risk management.** **Stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills that are used to achieve results by influencing and motivating others.** **Ability to effectively distinguish where Finance can make a substantial difference to the business outcomes, based on value and associated risks.** **“Bottom line edge” in the performance conversations to achieve the right outcomes for Shell and understanding of end-to-end value chain.**:Disclaimer
