Nike is looking for a Brand Protection (BP) Manager based in Mexico to manage the brand protection operations in the Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. You will be key to establishing and maintaining communication between the Global/Americas Brand Protection team and the marketplace teams within Mexico and CaSA territories. You will closely work with the Latin America BP Manager, the NIKE distributors, Converse Licensees, investigators, outside counsel and Law Enforcement Agencies to protect the Nike Brands and take action against those who infringe our intellectual property rights.

You will be the key person of driving Mexico and Central America enforcement strategy.

Your accountabilities to communication BP work to Nike internal stakeholders include:

- Creating weekly and quarterly reports on significant Brand Protection actions to the BP Director.
- Exploring and recommending new metrics for measuring impact of BP work, and new ways to present results to the Distributors/Licensees and biz team
- Skillfully utilizing NIKE’s and service provider’s database to generate special reports for brand protection intelligence analysis and be capable of using certain IT tools to achieve such goals.
- Supporting the broader IP/BP team, security team, grey market management team on ad hoc requests of cross-function digital investigation, enforcement, and litigation matters.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Brand Protection Manager to lead the Mexico enforcement strategy. The manager should be able to work with the Global BP team, the intelligence center and the Latin America BP Manager closely to lead investigations and provide guidance to the field investigations.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will work on managing the all-round BP matters for the Mexico, Central America and Caribbean countries and devising and implementing the digital BP strategy for the region line with Nike’s Global BP strategy and the regional business development plan.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will work primarily with the brand protection team and IP team members and connect with Nike business functions, Nike Distributors, Converse Licensees, legal team in the region, and with third-party vendor, law firms and various law enforcement agencies.

WHAT YOU BRING
- College degree and minimum 5 years’ experience on brand protection
- Strong analytical skills with the capacity to make sound decisions that complement business goals; ability to prioritize heavy workload and delegate effectively.?
- A good understanding of anti-counterfeiting legislation and law enforcement practices
- Experience with Police, other investigative units of Law Enforcement Agencies or in a BP role with a global brand is strongly preferred
- Experience with presentations and project management required?
- Capacity to quickly understand new information and situations. ?
- Ability to gain acceptance of ideas where planning, presentation and persuasion skills are needed.
- Ability to facilitate and negotiate effectively
- A high level of integrity and enthusiasm
- Good leadership skills and the ability to build effective internal and external networks ?
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Experience creating and presenting highly effective presentations. ?
- Ability to work collaboratively toward a common goal.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
