The Professional Services (PS) team delivers post-sales services to Gigamon’s customers and partners with our technology and service solutions for positive business outcomes. Working for the Professional Services team, the PS Engineer is responsible for identifying and optimizing deployment alternatives for our network visibility solutions, security guidance, and other relevant services.
We measure our success by accelerating end-user time to value, customer satisfaction, delivery quality, and expanded use of our technology. This position will focus on automating and optimizing our post-sales implementation solutions, practices, and processes.
**Responsibilities**:
The Gigamon Professional Services Engineer responsibilities include the following:
- Gather and validate design and deployment requirements.
- Define and articulate value proposition for improvements to Gigamon solution design, deploy and operational practice success and efficiency.
- Lead solution implementation, testing, documentation, and pilot delivery.
- Identify opportunities to exploit existing and prospective solutions, as well as review applicable of network visibility use-cases, security policies and procedures with the business.
- Work with other technical network visibility and security team members on policy compliance efforts in accordance with Gigamon, industry privacy and security regulations, and guidelines set forth by, Country, Federal and local laws, as applicable.
**Desired skills/qualifications**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of network/element management and network security in mobile networks / Service Providers / Enterprise / government use-cases.
- Demonstrated very good knowledge in TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, IPv4, IPv6, QoS/CoS, SDN, NFV, SNMP.
- Working knowledge of current virtualization software, tools, protocols, and standards, including vCenter, VMware ESXi/NSX-T, Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Working knowledge of any public/private cloud environment: Amazon EC2, Azure, OpenStack / other cloud platforms
- Demonstrated success in leading technical initiatives without formal authority.
- Demonstrated success working with virtual teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Ability to handle high pressure situations with various key stakeholders and executives.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Practical Knowledge of Cybersecurity / Information Security standards and policies such as ISO 27001/27002, CIS, NIST, and others.
