Credit Analyst

Requisition ID: 31700- Job Location(s): Apodaca, MXDanfoss is looking for a **Temporary **Credit Analyst _(around 1.6 years)_

As a member of the North America Credit and Accounts Receivable team, performs collection activities and maintains analysis to support the open accounts receivable of the general ledger in an effort to maximizing sales and minimizing risk to Danfoss.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Collects from customers within the agreed terms of sale and manage risk on the accounts to avoid bad debt which is an expense to the company.
- Uses negotiation skills to persuade customers to pay timely and as close to the due dates as possible.
- Works to keep accounts current at all times and resolves outstanding issues timely to meet company’s net working capital goals.
- Ensures monthly statements are distributed to customers timely in an effort to keep customer payables accurate and to aid in collection activities.
- Collaborates with others functional areas (Sales, Customer Service, Warranty, Freight Forwarders, etc.) within the end-to-end process to determine root cause and implement solutions to eliminate issues in the Order to Cash process.
- Evaluates customer risk annually and is astute to customer financial position by monitoring and analyzing payment trends, conversations, financial information and any other data available.
- Suggests changes in credit limit based on current evaluation performed and sends to Credit Management leadership for approval.
- Partners with Sales to determines creative ways to avoid customer efforts to extend their Day’s Payable Outstanding at critical times during the year and to meet Danfoss key KPIs.
- Communicates changes in customer status to key stakeholders and for top customers, collaborates with key stakeholders to determine next steps and to communicates action to be taken timely and in writing to meet all legal obligations of the business interpretation to the customer’s account.

**Background & Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution required
- Fluent in English
- High proficiency in Microsoft Products
- Strong attention to details

- Previous experience in Accounts Receivable in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- SAP experience is a plus
