**Job Overview**

We are seeking skilled and experienced freelance interpreters/translators proficient in **Ixil/Spanish**to assist with interpreting and translating needs for U.S. clients. This role is perfect for professionals passionate about bridging communication gaps and fostering cultural understanding.

**Duties**
- Provide accurate interpretation during live conversations, meetings, or conferences, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during all assignments.
- Adapt to diverse topics, including medical, legal, educational, or business contexts.
- Ensure timely delivery of interpreted or translated work.

**Experience**
- Fluency in **Ixil, Spanish**and English (spoken and written).
- Proven experience as an interpreter/translator (preferably 2+ years).
- Strong understanding of cultural differences and sensitivity to context.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with interpretation platforms or translation tools is a plus.

**Preferred Skills**
- Experience in specific industries such as healthcare, legal, or education is a bonus.
- Familiarity with remote interpretation technologies like Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
