About you and this role - What you would do in this role

Dow has a great opportunity as Geographic Communications Specialist based in Mexico City (MEX). The Geographic Communications Specialist role is, under some direction, responsible for developing and implementing multi-channel internal and external communications plans that protect, build and drive Dow’s reputation and brand with key stakeholder groups in a country or at a site; support business objectives and priorities and drive growth; foster relationships and build goodwill for Dow at community levels; and drive employee engagement and alignment.

**Responsibilities**:
- Develops and implements targeted integrated communication plans supporting corporate business priorities as well as countries of the North Region and site-specific objectives.-
- Develops and updates key messaging, speeches, and presentations.- Coordinates and prepares meetings, briefings, and communication sessions.- Leadership in communication campaigns for employees.- Supports the organization of corporate events.- Implements local CSR programs and related communications activities.- Supports and implements community outreach programs for the countries of the North Region and manages the communications flow with the volunteers, non-profit partners, and the community- Supports local media relations outreach, prepares briefings, develops key messages and shapes talking points.- Ensures social media is an integrated part of the communications approach.

**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in communication sciences, public relations, journalism, marketing, digital marketing or related.- At least 3-5 years of experience in the area of communication and public relations in a company- Strong written communication and speaking skills; proficient in English writing and speaking.- Writing skills are essential.- Understanding and knowledge of modern communications technologies.- Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.- Proactive and self-motivated to deliver at a high level of excellence with ever increasing demands.
