Operations Procurement Manager

We are looking for a hands on procurement expert to focus on:

- Deliver supply base continuous improvement / optimization to support the achievement of business goals and objectives
- Development and implementation of supply base risk mitigation plans
- Define and deliver structured supplier improvement initiatives to achieve operational performance and efficiency improvements
- Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs Operations Procurement Manager your responsibilities will be including but not limited to:

- Identification and development / implementation of plans that significantly improve supplier performance i.e. on-time delivery, quality, service levels etc.
- Implement targeted Vendor Managed Inventory programs to improve material availability, reduce supplier lead-times and drive improvements in cash conversion.
- Conduct Supply Chain mapping activities to identify opportunities to reduce total landed component costs with the shortest Supply Chains - regionalising supply, together with the Global Category Managers, wherever appropriate.
- Effectively action and manage any critical supply issues that have been escalated from the Operations Manufacturing Sites and initiate / implement permanent corrective actions to ensure no re-occurrence
- Review, monitor and measure implemented improvement actions / activities and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary
- Promote Procurement team activities, policies / procedures and strategy implementation with key stakeholders and across all areas of the business.

- Support, the global Category Management team in the communication and execution of category strategies and drive supplier consolidation resulting in stronger supplier relationships
- Support the implementation of Global Operations Strategic Projects as required.
- Produce progress reports against key objectives and initiatives for peer groups, middle and senior management
- Prepare project / project related documents i.e. process maps, project plans, status reports, risk registers etc.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with all stakeholders (internal and external)
- Support supplier material and processes changes, supplier Change Requests/Change Orders and End of Life process for purchased components

- Bachelor's degree within Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or Economics preferred
- Good understanding of supply chain management and associated processes
- Experience in Supplier Relationship Management - including negotiating and influencing.
- Experience in Cost management practices, with history of delivery against cost reduction targets.
- Strong personal drive and motivation; focused on delivering results through continuous improvement
- Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) or American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) or equivalent experience

**Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Ideally Degree educated within Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or Economics
- Good understanding of supply chain management and associated processes
- Experienced in Supplier Relationship Management - including negotiating and influencing.
- Experienced in Cost management practices, with history of delivery against cost reduction targets.
- Strong personal drive and motivation; focused on delivering results through continuous improvement
- Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) or equivalent experience

**Travel %: Up to 20%**
