**What You’ll Do**
- Design and Implement: Scalable, secure, and high-performance Azure-based data solutions tailored to meet business needs.
- Collaborate: Work closely with development teams, project managers, and stakeholders both technical and executive to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions.
- Optimize: Continuously evaluate and improve existing Azure data platforms for performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
- Mentor: Provide guidance and support to junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Document: Create and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency across projects.
- Understand business goals and drivers and translate those into an appropriate technical cloud solution.
- Be the solution ambassador for Microsoft Azure data solution, architecture, related technologies and their interdependencies.
- Gather requirements, assess client capabilities and analyze findings to provide appropriate cloud recommendations and adoption strategy.
- Demonstrate thought leadership expertise via client workshops and learning whiteboard sessions.
- Create conceptual, logical and physical design for cloud-based solutions for analytics platforms.
- Research, analyze, recommend and select technical approaches for solving difficult and challenging development and integration problems.
- Design and implement reusable data ingestion and self-serve data service frameworks.
- Learn and adopt new tools and techniques to optimize performance, automation and scalability.

**What You’ll Bring**
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Azure services and experience analyzing and modernizing legacy solutions with Azure, including Platform as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service offerings.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into effective, scalable solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and guiding teams.
- Experience as part of larger engineering teams and fundamental knowledge of various software layers and their optimal data service requirements
- An understanding and comfort level with the pillars of cloud development - Reliability, Security, Cost Optimization, Extensibility, Operational Excellence, and Performance Efficiency
- Enterprise level experience migrating and deploying to Azure data solutions.
- Proficiency in implementing data services including Microsoft Fabric, Real-time Intelligence, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Function Apps, Azure-native messaging services (Event Hubs, Event Grid, Service Bus, Fabric Eventstream), and Self-Serve Analytics with Semantic Data Models Power BI Premium.
- Experience with resource sizing and general experience implementing Microsoft Fabric Capacities and Copilot for Power BI and Data Engineering.
- Defining governance and roadmaps for data analytics projects
- Assist in designing multi-phased Azure data strategies, including designing multi-phased implementation roadmaps
- Experience with performance monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting and remediation techniques.
- Design and develop scalable data models and data ingestion frameworks to transform a wide variety of datasets
- Research, analyze, recommend and select technical approaches for solving challenging and complex development and integration problems.
- Proficient with PySpark, T-SQL, data pipelines notebooks, and semantic models
- Experience implementing LLM-based context-aware virtual assistant with OpenAI end points
- Experience with agile, automation and DevOps principles.
- Automation and orchestration experience with Visual Studio/VS Code, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Bicep, or Terraform is a plus.
- Certifications: AI-102: Azure AI Engineer Associate, DP-600: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, DP-700: Fabric Data Engineer Associate, Lakeh
