How you will create an impact
This position is responsible for supporting and improving internal control structure in AIG México reporting to Chief Risk Officer - Latin America and Caribbean that is based in México.
Assist Local Controller in planning and monitoring core processes and in identifying areas for improvement in workflows, systems, and reporting.
Assess and support on current practices and procedures, presenting findings and making recommendations for improvements in processes and controls.
Conduct ongoing reviews of organization controls, operating procedures, and compliance with policies and regulations and make any necessary additions.
Maintain and monitor internal control policies and procedures in accordance with local and global requirements.
Compile and implement the annual internal control plan.
Ability to analyze and design controls as a second line to process improvement
Identify and reduce operational risks through effective monitoring of controls.
Deliver support and guidance for controls matters in Risk and Control Self-Assessment
Assist with the effective communication and presentation of internal control Profile.
What you’ll need to succeed
Degree in accounting, engineering or financial management (essential).
At least 6 years of work experience in an internal control or external/internal audit.
Exceptional accounting skills.
Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
Strong operational experience in insurance statutory reporting.Excellent documentation, communication and IT skills.
