- The Automation Engineer role involves being responsible of Defining, Developing, Implementing and proliferating Automation projects, providing consultancy as SME and developing new customer engagement in the region with a focus in technical support._

What a typical day looks like:

- _ Develop and implement Automatic Vision Inspection solutions through smart camaras usage and integrate them into an automatic standard solution_
- _ Be able to create and define RFQ/SOW documents to quote with suppliers new integrations_
- _ Simulate mechanical design, from simple automation, custom and full lines automation, to provide visualization and calculate line improvements from implementing solution (CT, UPH, etc)_
- _ Have the capability to independently or together with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process in order to define the best technology._
- _ High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues_
- _ Get involved with local teams and operations to provide technical support for the implementation or development of any technology._
- _ Work on the maturity of the technologies currently deployed._
- _ Take responsibility for the development or implementation of a project._
- _ Train local teams on the technologies_
- _ Lead a group of Automation Engineering_
- _ Able to quote and follow up automation integration: Simple, Custom or entire line for full processes_
- _ Work in collaboration with Project Manager to meet timeline_
- _ Knowledge in Project Management_

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- _ Advance knowledge in programming _Vision System_ equipment, such as: Cognex, Keyence, Basler or others related, for Robot compensation and/or quality inspections: measurement, presence/absence, others_
- _ Advance knowledge on integrating Vision Systems into an automatic solution_
- _ Advance knowledge _in Robot programing_, such as: Epson, Fanuc, Nachi, UR, Omron, or other related_
- _ Advance knowledge in Robot integration to automatic solutions_
- _ Knowledge in Electronics manufacturing processes_
- _ Intermediate knowledge in _PLC programming_
- _ Intermediate programming_ skill with at least one of the following languages: Python, C++ or JavaScript. Similar programming languages will be a good skill to add._
- _ Knowledge on _designing electric/pneumatic diagrams_
- _ Experience with _industrial protocols_ like OPC, Profibus, Fieldbus, Devicenet, IO-link, Modbus, TCP/IP or similar._
- _ Basic knowledge in design SW tools such as: SW, NX, CAD_
- _ Management _of PM tool_ such as: Microsoft Project, Smartsheet_
- _ Experience with suppliers for automation integration solution_
- _ Experience in suppliers’ management_
- _ Interpretation and establishment of KPI and Operational Metrics for automation devices._
- _ Experience in manufacturing process for electronics devices and mechanical assemblies (e.g., dispensing, screw-fastening, welding, soldering, general knowledge in testing, etc.)_
- _ Training in safety and ergonomics._
- _ Experience in definition of preventive maintenance processes._
- _ Fluent English, written and spoken._
- _ Valid US Visa and passport._
