**Your team responsibilities**

Our growing tax team is looking for a sales and use tax senior associate to assist with Sales and use tax compliance, and monthly journal entries, including reviewing invoices for use tax, in house returns, and gathering data for monthly compliance and Timely and accurately complete the day-to-day work activates of compliance team to ensure the monthly compliance cycle is completed in a cost effective, accurate and timely manner

**Your key responsibilities**
- Sales and use tax compliance, and monthly journal entries, including reviewing invoices for use tax, in house returns, and gathering data for monthly compliance
- Timely and accurately complete the day-to-day work activates of compliance team to ensure the monthly compliance cycle is completed in a cost effective, accurate and timely manner
- Ensure compliance with state and local sales and use tax laws and regulations
- Coordinate sales and use tax and property tax compliance company-wide
- Reconcile annual fixed asset schedules for property tax compliance
- Research and interpret tax statutes and regulations
- Prepare miscellaneous tax returns and assist with compliance of all tax licenses
- Execute all deliverables by adhering to standard accounting principles and compliance requirements
- Timely submit compliance data to third party vendors to meet filing requirements
- Assist with AP and vendor taxability research and responses
- Assist with data collection for sales and use tax audits and research projects
- Review all sales & use and property tax returns
- Assist with all external sales tax audits

**Your skills and experience that will help you excel**
- Capable of sorting through activities so as to focus upon those with biggest impact
- A consummate professional who demonstrates intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning as much as possible about the company and industry
- Minimum of 2 years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of responsibilities and knowledge as presented above
- Experience preparing tax filings
- Demonstrated ability to conduct tax research (prior experience with Vertex Q Series tax software and knowledge of SAP (ERP) software is a plus)
- A hands-on approach to understanding how reports work and the desire and ability to identify/implement improvements to our existing processes
