Sensata Technologies is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Industrial Business Unit. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting revenue planning, forecasting, reporting, and market analysis. You will partner closely with the Business Unit Leadership Team, coordinating the development of revenue forecasts and delivering data-driven insights through advanced analysis and visual reporting in Power BI. This is a highly collaborative role suited for someone who thrives on turning data into strategic decisions and enjoys working cross-functionally in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
General Responsibilities
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
- Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, and tools
- Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
Experience / Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- BS Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or Statistics.
- 2-5 years relevant experience in product research, financial planning and analysis, or demand forecasting.
- Presentation skills.
- Ability to articulate assumptions, methods, and results to peers and management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
- Demonstrated experience in working with regression analysis, financial forecasting, and statistical analysis
- Experience working with foreign currencies preferred.
- Experience working with Oracle ERP and Oracle Demantra tools preferred.
- Ability to work in a collaborative global environment under tight timelines.
- Business-to-Business and/or industrial manufacturing experience would be a plus.
