We are seeking a talented and innovative Remote Short-Form Video Editor to join our team in supporting a new music artist. This role is ideal for someone who excels in the realm of video editing and is passionate about translating musical art into visually compelling content. As a remote editor, you will focus on creating engaging short-form videos for social media platforms, working with footage shot by the artist or other contributors. Your creative vision and technical skills will play a key role in enhancing the artist's online presence and connecting with their audience through visually striking and thematically resonant video content.

**Responsibilities**
- Video Editing and Post-Production_
- Edit raw footage provided by the artist or team, creating short-form videos that are both visually appealing and musically aligned.
- Ensure that the final edited videos maintain a high level of quality and coherence with the artist's brand and musical themes.
- Content Optimization and Platform Alignment_
- Adapt videos for various social media platforms, understanding the unique requirements and best practices for each (like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
- Work closely with the social media team to align the video content with broader marketing strategies, ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.
- Creative Collaboration and Feedback Integration_
- Engage in regular communication with the artist and team to understand their vision and feedback, effectively incorporating it into the video editing process.
- Collaborate with other creative team members to ensure a unified and impactful visual representation of the artist's music.

**Requirements**:

- Technical Skills_
- Proven experience and expertise in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing short-form video content, preferably in the music or entertainment industry.
- Advanced proficiency in using CapCut or equivalent video editing software.
- Familiarity with various video formats and technical requirements for different social media platforms.
- Soft Skills_
- Strong creative vision and storytelling skills, capable of translating musical themes into engaging visual content.
- Excellent communication skills, essential for remote collaboration and understanding the artist's vision and feedback.
- Ability to manage time effectively, handling multiple projects with varying deadlines.
- Mentality_
- Passion for music and a keen understanding of how video content can amplify a song's message and reach.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, comfortable with working independently in a remote setting.
