We are Belvo, an open finance API platform with the bold vision of democratizing access to financial services in Latin America. We enable any financial innovator to access and interpret financial data - as well as initiate payments from their end-users accounts. We’re turning the messy complexities of the Latin American financial ecosystem into a modern set of tools to access and interpret data and move money in a seamless and secure way.

We’re a highly-technical, passionate, and driven team. We are more than 150 people, our team currently represents 26 nationalities and we have offices in São Paulo, Mexico City, and Barcelona - while a large portion of us works remotely.

**Your opportunity**:

- Ditch your old legalese behind and join an ambitious and fast-paced Legal team.
- Assess all sorts of legal matters: contracts, privacy, corporate, regulatory, and everything legal. Here is a place to learn and share knowledge. We don't expect you to know everything, but we expect you to be curious.
- Support the _Contract Life Cycle_ _Management_ by drafting, reviewing, negotiating, amending, releasing and guaranteeing the quality of low/middle complexity documents.
- Ensure proper follow-up of entrusted matters, daily tracking and update the progress to the relevant areas considering the timely completion of the ticketing system.
- Support with the internal corporate control including coordinate with outside counsels and draft corporate documents for the Mexican entities.
- Research and analyze laws, regulations and procedures to provide legal support;
- Interact with stakeholders with different backgrounds, actively supporting them in getting things done.
- You will also need to not only do legal stuff, but to build and improve processes, and prepare presentations.
- Perform other related tasks within the job level as may be requested by the immediate supervisor.
- Keep alignment within the legal team, have relentless curiosity, get things done and be humble and transparent.Making an impact, being a facilitator and being passionate about what we are building, will be part of the journey at Belvo.

**This position may be for you if**:

- A bachelor's degree in Law.
- 2+ years of experience within a legal function in law firms, financial institutions, Fintech, or technology companies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner with colleagues at all levels.
- Collaborative spirit and problem prevention and problem solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide guidance that is sensitive both to legal and business perspectives.
- Implacable curiosity.
- Spoken and written English and Spanish.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Willingness to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.

**Amazing if**:

- Experience working in an international law firm and/or Fintech or Startup.
- Previous experience with IFPEs and tech companies.
- PLD/FT Certification
