Under supervision, follows an engineer’s direction in the completion of project related drawings and other technical project activities

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Work with the engineer to develop and execute production of engineering drawings, engineering change documentation, and data from various engineering calculations as required.
- Coordinate work into drafting and complete the initial checking review of finished documents.
- Responsible for ensuring that pertinent John Crane Technical Standards and Procedures are followed in the completion of the project cycle.
- Additional duties as assigned.

**The Individual**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 3 to 5 years of related experience at designing pressure vessels, heat exchangers and piping systems, must have experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have a good math background that must include trig and calculus
- Must have the ability to work independently or in coordination with an engineer in development of designs or adaptations requiring advanced specialized knowledge
- Must have aptitude for problem solving to include the ability to gather, correlate and present statistical data for review and use by an engineer or other parties toward the completion of an assigned project.
- Intermediate English
- Requires experience with the following computer programs: Design software including Design Calcs or Compress, MathCAD, Advance Experience using Designing software (solid edge, cathia, solidworks, inventor, etc) and/or 3D CAD-SolidEdge is preferred. MS Office products - Word, Excel, Outlook
