**The Role**:
**What you will do**:

- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and workflows for ingesting, processing, and analyzing large-scale video data using AWS EMR, Python/Java, and Spark
- Utilize advanced image/video recognition techniques to extract relevant information from video content, going beyond out-of-the-box AI solutions.
- Create and deploy custom AI/ML models to identify and classify specific elements, objects, or events within videos, aligning with advertising opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and software engineers, to integrate video processing capabilities into end-to-end data solutions
- Optimize and scale video processing workflows to handle large volumes of data, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and high-performance processing
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in video processing, AI/ML, and relevant technologies, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our capabilities

**Required Skills**:

- Strong experience in AWS EMR, Python/Java, and Spark for data engineering and processing tasks at scale
- In-depth knowledge of AI/ML techniques and frameworks, including custom model development and training
- Demonstrated expertise in video processing, including familiarity with video formats, codecs, and video-specific data engineering challenges
- Proficiency in implementing image/video recognition algorithms and techniques beyond standard AI offerings
- Solid understanding of advertising principles and the ability to identify and extract relevant elements from video content for advertising opportunities
- Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) and distributed computing frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

**Nice to have Skills**:

- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of deep learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Previous exposure to video analytics, computer vision, or natural language processing is a plus

**Education & Certifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant years of work experience
