We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role **Java & Python Fullstack Developer**

**Role Purpose**:
The Specialist Engineering job contributes to the provision of engineering expertise in specialist technology engineering areas which may include but is not limited to data engineering, security engineering, front-end engineering, user experience engineering. Includes Infrastructure domain specialists such as Storage, Network, Mainframe, etc.

**Main Activities**
- Contribute to the simplification of small parts of a tech architecture.
- Develop a clear understanding of owned component dependencies.
- Develop a track record of managing tech debt and taking the initiative to fix issues before being assigned them.
- Continuously contribute to code and review other's code for best practice, ensuring compliance with all relevant controls and standards including relevant Service Management Standard.
- Seek empirical evidence through proof of concepts, tests, and external research.
- Demonstrate empathy for what is required to own a system from an ITSO perspective.
- Contribute to the establishment of a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data.
- Develop tools for wider use across the team and encourage a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership for team, component, and production incidents reviews (PIR) and demonstrate desire to take ownership.
- Take ownership of Infrastructure and lead in Role swap or DR Drives through change from lessons learnt in PIRs.
- Build relationships beyond teams and seek out new ways of improvement.
Requirements- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, IT Infrastructure, or similar discipline
- Minimum experience 5 years
- IT experience working in a fast paced, IT development shop.
- Top notch troubleshooting ability
- Demonstrate a current knowledge of latest DevOps tooling and practices.
- Strong Database skills
- Working experience with WebSphere Application Server, WebLogic, or Tomcat
- Experience in containerization, ideally using Docker / Kubernetes
- Experience in deploying to both a private and public cloud.
- Experience in automation software tools like Jenkins and Ansible
- Experience of continuous integration tooling, ideally using Jenkins
- Working knowledge of Linux systems, predominantly RHEL, UNIX / Shell scripting
- Strong communication skills and documentation skills, both technical and non-technical
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated personality with excellent time management skills and a strong sense of initiative
- Fluent English (Intermediate) to support people in other countries.
