We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PE teacher to join our thriving and supportive PE department, commencing in September 2025. This is a fantastic chance to make a positive impact on our students' physical and mental well-being, fostering a lifelong love of sport and exercise.

As a QTS PE Teacher, you will be responsible for:

- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and differentiated PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5, depending on your specialisms and the school's needs). This will encompass a variety of sports, games, and fitness activities.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and the development of physical skills.
- Utilizing a range of teaching methodologies to cater to diverse abilities and ensure all students experience success and develop a positive attitude towards physical activity.
- Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress in line with school policies, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of the PE curriculum and resources.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues within the PE department and across the school.
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour management and ensuring the safety of students during all physical activities.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school through extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and events.

What We Are Looking For:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A strong degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Excellent knowledge of a wide range of sports, games, and fitness activities.
- A passion for promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle in young people.
- Proven experience in planning and delivering effective and engaging PE lessons.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying up to date with current developments in sports and physical education.
- Relevant first aid qualifications (desirable).
