Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Director, Quality located in Guadalajara, South Campus

Reporting to the General Manager the Director, Quality role involvesDirects and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in some or all of the following areas: material planning, distribution, inventory control, material research, purchasing and supply chain management by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

What a typical day looks like:

- Responsible for the site end-to-end manufacturing process quality and product quality to comply requirements and customer specifications.
- Drive investigation and resolutions of non-conformances found in materials, manufacturing processes and systems including audits.
- Drive investigation, implementation, and effectiveness of corrective actions as a results of customer complaints, supplier issues, internal process discrepancies, systems or audit related findings.
- Lead customer facing meeting, reviews and issues and drive diligently towards closures.
- Prepares and implements QA Policies and Procedures.
- Reviews discrepancy reports and implements corrective actions.
- Reports progress to customers as required. Maintains contact with customers to ensure their business needs are met or exceeded.
- Conducts presentations to staff as required.
- Establishes QA objectives and creates plan of action.
- Cooperates with top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures and goals.
- Evaluates content of reports from product assurance program department heads and confers with top management in formulating fiscal budget for product assurance program.
- Confers with engineering about quality assurance of new products designed and manufactured.
- Reviews technical publications, articles and abstract to stay abreast of technical developments in industry.
- Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- Typically requires BA/BS/ MBA in a related field.
- Zero defect philosophy experience
- Good English language skills required (written and verbal)
- Strong experience in electronic industry (PCBA / SMT Processes)
- Experience as a director in Contract Manufacturing
- Applied statistics
- ISO 9000 and PL 9000 certifications
- IPC610
- Experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Systems and Manufacturing Quality
- Successfully manage a diverse group of employees.
- Black belt certification.
- Build and lead successful teams.
- Achieve targets in a dynamic and competitive business environment.
- Build and nurture trust with teams, customers, and suppliers.
- Demonstrate expert functional, technical, people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
- Experience on System integration.
- Strongly customer oriented
- Must possess excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- International travel may be required.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
