Senior Business Analyst/data Scientist

How you'll make your mark:_**
- Provides highly insightful analysis exercising a strong understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives.
- Develop predictive and other analytical models using statistical and quantitative techniques to unveil business opportunities
- Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
- Leads business initiatives, typically leading analysts across multiple cross-functions.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in the design.
- Provides mentoring and guidance to junior analysts.
- Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques.
- Data mining using state-of-the-art methods.
- Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
- Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
- Creating interactive dashboards & KPI
- Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance

About you:_**
- Bachelors in Finance or Economics or Commerce
- Masters or PHD in Data science/Statistics/Econometrics or Analytics (Must have)
- Typically 10+ years in a Data Scientist role
- Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
- Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Python is required.
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI, D3.js, RShiny etc.
- Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL or Hive
- Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
Enhanced pattern recognition techniques
- Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression etc.
- Good scripting & programming skills and someone who is Data-oriented
- Excellent ability to analyze and organize data to unveil opportunities
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent consulting and influencing skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Deep appreciation for sound finance processes, ability to identify, develop, and drive operational improvements
