- Project Accountant_

- Reporting to the Sr Director, Finance, Project Accountant role will be responsible for all activities that correlates the project revenue with Finance: accounting, project reconciliation, invoicing, AR control (aging) and meetings with operations and sales. Ensures accuracy of the project balances, understands the business of the customer, understands about construction contracts, works closely with Project Managers and Sales Analysts in a timely manner to understand project status, aged items, change orders._

What a typical day looks like:

- _ Conducts projects reconciliation after conclusion of each project, or as needed. Project reconciliations consist of:_
- _ Detailed GL review, analyzing all the accounts that impacted by the project transactions: balance sheet and income statement accounts._
- _ Ad hoc reviews of sales tax with sales operations team and corporate tax team._
- _ Ensures accuracy of revenue, including the amount recognized and the timing based upon corporate policies and US GAAP._
- _ Manages multiple projects and escalate to management any past due or problematic balances._
- _ Reviews project contracts to understand key points associated to invoicing and revenue._
- _ Manages the entire customer invoicing process; Issue all customer invoices, including deposit and retention invoices, based upon appropriate data from the Project Manager or Sales Analyst._
- _ Ensures all change orders are properly recorded._
- _ Responsible for project follow up along with Project Managers (milestones, aged invoices, unbilled amounts)._
- _ Coordinates with Legal that all lien waivers are appropriate and are issued on a timely basis._

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- _ BA/BS or equivalent work experience_
- _ Previous experience of finance/accounting_
- _ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, e.g.: pivot tables, vlookups, extracting and adjusting general ledger reports from system._
- _ Familiarity with financial statements and frequently used reports: such as aging reports, general ledgers, payment reports, income statements, balance sheet, and cash flows._
- _ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook._
- _ Advanced English_
