We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our Querétaro, México team, who is focused on providing world-class technology solutions to our customers.

What you’ll get to do
Design and develop innovative and functional engineered automation solutions from concept through final design and detail that meet or exceed customer requirements
Estimate design hours for tool concepts, design and release of original content, and changes
Prepare layout and detail drawings of designs within defined project timelines
Review and study customer specifications, engineering schematics and other data to ensure released designs meet engineering and manufacturing requirements
Perform engineering calculations and material selection to meet safety standards and design functionality requirements
Coordinate model and drawing development, through internal and external designers and comprehensively manage the complete design of tools assigned
Work closely with the design team to ensure optimal manufacturability, maintainability and serviceability of the equipment
Meet and review design details with customers at defined quality gates
Work effectively within the project timeline, with constant awareness to produce designs within project budget constraints
Verify the completeness and accuracy of the design and associated CAD models / drawings prior to final release to procurement, fabrication and assembly leveraging significant prior experience in checking detail drawings for the manufacturing
Understand the design release system process and release all models, drawings, instructions and other data in formats required by internal and external customers
Initiate ideas and coordinate efforts for continuous product and process improvement using FMEA, 8D and FEA knowledge
What you bring
A proven ability to work well within a team-based work environment, prioritizing plans of action to accomplish objectives
Mechanical Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer education, or equivalent
Reside in Querétaro, México
Language English (Advanced)
A proven ability to prioritize plans of action to accomplish objectives
Experience in designing, installing, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting pneumatic, mechanical and electronic automated equipment in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Ability and willingness to travel internationally to customer locations
What we offer
Full-time, indefinite position
A schedule of 48 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:40 hours
