**About the team**:
Our legal team provides key support for all TikTok’s innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global video market. We help our technological and business teams enable their vision by providing integrated legal guidance and support. The TikTok team is growing fast and is seeking highly experienced, bright and capable legal professionals to join the Global Legal team.
One of the critical challenges is the need for our team to provide exceptional legal support for litigation matters in the countries where the platform operates. This position will be part of the Global Legal Litigation Department, and will partner and collaborate with the Americas Legal team who focus on Latam, as well as the Global Legal Privacy team.

**Responsibilities**:
General management of litigation for Latin America, reporting to the Head of the Litigation team for LATAM, including:

- Handle general litigation, pre-litigation claims, electoral claims and all related matters in LATAM
- Manage all aspects of litigation matters, including fact-finding and analysis, strategy, case management, motion practice, and arbitration or trial preparation and presentation.
- Manage consumer and e-commerce litigation procedures, handling requests in accordance with applicable laws and our platform policies.
- Supervise and partner with outside counsel to ensure that all aspects of the company's legal representation are of the highest quality, including the day-to-day running of matters, overall strategy, written work, and oral advocacy.
- Pre-litigation assessment and advice for internal business teams, such as marketing and operations
- Review of policies and terms from a litigation perspective, considering recurrent causes of claims and potential mitigation measures
- Institutional engagement with electoral, privacy and consumer protection authorities, and handling of administrative litigation
- Advice for Public Policy and Trust and Safety teams on ongoing lawsuits and investigations.
- Identify potential litigation or regulatory risk and counsel the business to minimize exposure
- Support the company's global strategy for litigation and regulatory actions

**Qualifications**:
Minimum Qualifications
- Admitted to practice as a lawyer in Mexico
- Experience specializing in litigation practice in Latin America
- Team player, strong people skills and ability to engage on all levels of the organization
- Proven track record of working under pressure, strong attention to detail, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications
- In-house experience, particularly in tech, digital media, media or advertising industry
- Experience in matrixed, global organizations
- Portuguese language skills a plus
