**Job Description**:
Etsy is looking for a **tech-savvy manager** who can lead a cross-functional team of Software Engineers who build industry leading offline testing solutions to help our buyers discover items from Etsy’s unique and diverse listings inventory for their personalized shopping missions.

Qualifications**
About the Role**
- Serve as a coach, mentor and technical advisor to your direct reports.
- Define and execute your team’s long-term strategy and quarterly roadmap. Establish and drive OKRs that clearly define the goals and success metrics for your team.
- Partner with your product manager to create a technical roadmap aligned with the product's strategy.
- Attract, hire, and retain an amazing team of high-calibre machine learning engineers and nurture their career growth through effective coaching and mentorship.
- Foster a culture of learning, collaboration and continuous delivery on your teams.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering and Data Science teams to facilitate project planning and execution.
**About You**
- You strive to understand your customers and keep them at the center of the solutions you build.
- You have a passion for building data related products and understand good systems design.
- 3+ year experience directly managing engineers - including providing leadership, mentorship, feedback, and investing in their career growth.
- You promote growth and learning on the team - you put our engineers first.
- You have in-depth knowledge of the software test tool lifecycle (e.g. capacity, latency, user acceptance criterias, understand feature & model selection, training, optimization).
- You are passionate about solving challenging problems with a relentless focus on positively impacting our stakeholders' experience.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
**Minimum requirements**
- BS/MS in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience with testing tools.
- Experience with cloud data services (GCP, AWS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through experience working with technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience in leading remote teams is a plus (but not required).
- 3+yr experience in building, iterating and troubleshooting solutions to complex problems with a significant backend component
- Ability to make engineering tradeoffs based on problem and context
