**INTERNSHIP PROGRAM DESCRIPTION**:
For us, an internship is more than just checking a box. It's about learning and developing your skills and exploring your curiosity to figure out what you like or want to do next as you launch your career. You'll be given tools to learn alongside your team and work on relevant projects that make a difference on college campuses, impacting students just like you. **About the opportunity**

In this role you will join a dedicated team of seasoned developers, designers and QA Test Engineers, who’s focus and mission is to contribute extreme-value and highly-visible features to this expanding platform.

**Where you will make an impact**:

- Help design, develop, and test the next features of Ellucian Experience using the Experience Toolkit.
- Engage with product leadership and analysts to clarify requirements
- Assess and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Leverage agile software development best-practices as part of a diverse team
- Write developer documentation (API docs, usage notes, process descriptions)
- Go beyond just coding and help us implement unit and functional tests and high quality API docs, as well as participate in the continuous improvement of our development processes

**What you will bring**:

- Well written and spoken communication skills
- An open-minded, empathetic, and proactively collaborative attitude
- Solid foundation of front-end coding skills
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks, such as node.js
- A foundation of CSS styling skills
- Familiarity with Git and the command line
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a geographically dispersed, agile team
- Visual design acumen
- Strong level of initiative
- Attention to detail.

**Bonus**
- Experience with React and the Material-UI component library
- Experience with node, npm and the concepts of semantic versioning
- Familiar with web accessibility standards
- Familiar with features of SaaS platform providers, such as AWS
