-Job description **Chief Information Officer (CIO) Mexico & LAM** **Role Purpose** This position has responsibility for all business and IT operations across HBMX and LAM through geographic oversight of the following global or HTS functions; Software Delivery, IT Operations, Service Delivery, Change Delivery, Global Banking and Markets HTS, All these functions report either directly or to this position. These functions have a broad impact across all the daily operations of HBMX and significantly influence the overall financial performance of the HBMX Group as well as on the other countries supported by HTS in Mexico (the four LAM International Countries). More broadly, as COO, the position is responsible for the full cost base of the HSBC Group Mexico and is responsible for driving the Group’s Organizational Effectiveness programme (including, but not limited to, cost reduction initiatives) across HBMX. **Principal Responsibilities** - SWD, IT, Change Delivery, GBM HTS, Service Delivery, provide vital support to Global Businesses, enabling the achievement of business objectives (ROP and MTO). - Provide the high standards of infrastructure that are required to support the operations across the bank. - Assure that business support areas operate in accordance with the Group’s values and comply with Group standards & policies, as well as local legal and regulatory requirements. - Ensure the delivery of excellent internal customer service from SWD, ITO, Change Delivery, GBM HTS, Service Delivery, Provide the high standards of infrastructure that are required to support the operations across the bank. Requirements **Major Challenges** Operate across a highly matrixed organization, ensuring that businesses and functions co-operate and collaborate effectively to deliver the Bank’s broader objectives.
