Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to mechanical projects, finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve techniques, procedures, and products and technologies. You will design products to meet customer needs, product quality, manufacturability, new product development, prototype builds, testing, and may serve a project manager role for smaller development projects. You will develop the product designs necessary to drive product improvement and will be integral in securing present and future business by consistently meeting or exceeding Voice of Customer requirements. Solve complex problems where analysis of a situation is required to meet the requirements of the customer. Serve as the technical lead role for product lines or new development projects. Work with Sales and Customers to ensure designs meet customer expectations.

**JOB DUTIES**:

- Collaborate with other engineering functions, product management, suppliers, plant personnel and other stakeholders to develop and implement low cost design solutions, methods, and product improvements, and to support build programs for platform, major and minor product development projects.
- Deliver hardware designs on time to project schedules that meet customer requirements.
- Perform complex dimensional/tolerance stack-up analysis, material analysis, tooling selection.
- Plan and implements product development and test programs.
- Communicate information to and from internal and external customers.
- Coordinate and consult with departments outside engineering.
- Stay abreast of new technology and competitive products.
- Travel as required (domestic & international).
- This engineer applies state of the art knowledge of mechanical design methods and practices to assure high-quality, low-cost solutions.

**YOU MUST HAVE**:

- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, MSME is a plus.
- 5+ years experience in a product design engineering role, development, validation and document release of technical engineering and manufacturing documentation and control.
- Knowledge of plastic materials, plastic injection molding, moldflow analysis, tooling and production processes.
- Creo Parametrics (former Pro/E) or similar, FEA and general CAD skills.
- Tolerance analysis, GD&T, DFMEA, and PFMEA.
- Mid/Advanced English proficiency.

**WE VALUE**:

- High level of interest and a strong understanding of system level design & integration is a plus.
- Experience with regulatory standards and certifications UL, CSA, AHRI, ASHRE, FCC is a plus.
- Strong multi-tasking and multi-project skills a plus. Ability to excel in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- PMP Certified a plus.
- Blackbelt/Greenbelt DFSS Certification is a plus.
