Field Service Engineer

Kongsberg Maritime, Global Customer Support, Underwater Acoustic is responsible for technical advisory, support, and training on products for Mapping, Positioning and Communication. Our goal is to provide the best possible support and follow-up throughout the entire life cycle of the systems to our customer's full satisfaction.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will do installation and commissioning of Underwater Acoustic systems on vessels and in shipyards in LATAM and around the world. You will do service and maintenance on installed systems on sailing ships and offshore installations. As well as offer in-house technical support and remote service to external and internal customers.

Our Field Service Engineers are at the front line when representing KONGSBERG to our worldwide customers. Key accountabilities
- Commissioning, testing and service jobs in LATAM and worldwide
- Technical support and on-call/remote service
- Supervision and operator assistance onboard

Qualifications and experience
- Engineer (B.Sc/B.Eng) in electronics/instrumentation/computer science/mechatronics/robotics
- Good IT/PC/network skills
- Good communication skills in English and Spanish. Both oral and written
- Highly motivated for worldwide support activities
- Experience on maritime industry
- Experience on projects of maritime system installation, ocean science, marine geophysics, marine surveyor, similar.
