**JOB PURPOSE**:
JVM is seeking an Engineering Assistant II to join our team and perform a full range of scientific services with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6 (South Central) serving Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. The Engineering Assistant II provides professional services in support of a project of a project under the mínimal supervision of a project manager or team leader.. These would include specification writers, accountants, project planners, graphic illustrators, estimators, etc.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES**:

- Ensure operation of office equipment
- Collects, stores, retrieves, or disseminates data, information or materials as required.
- Ensuring that equipment is properly cleaned and that chemicals, drugs and other materials are appropriately stored.
- Assists in the operation and maintenance of an assigned corporate owned facility and property.
- Carry out simple sample preparation, prepare and assemble simple testing equipment.
- Perform simple tests as directed by his/her supervisor, including recording of test data on worksheets.
- Tidy up working area and clean equipment, remove and dispose of samples and debris after testing.
- Provide general administrative support to the Engineering Division
- Impart excellent customer service to visitors and colleagues.
- Schedule and coordinate logistics for meetings, interviews, seminars, and facility tours

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Associates degree with one year of experience.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
